Next to cross-country and alpine skiing, snowboarding, biathlon and ski jumping, Jyväskylän Hiihtoseura has got a well working Nordic Combined section.
The junior athletes of the club are divided into two groups: the youngest learn how to jump and ski at the Mäkikoulu ("Hill School"), the older ones are in the Hopeasompa group.
Ski jumping training is possible in summer and winter on the hills of Laajavuori (Matti Nykäsen mäki – K100/HS108; Matti Pullin mäki – K64/HS68; K40, K25, K15 and K10). The K10-K40 will get plastics this summer so they can also be used without snow. There are several tracks for cross-country training and a gym in the city.
