Interview (15.12.2016)
Do you have any hobbies beside Nordic Combined sport?
Not actually anymore because it takes too much time to do this. And now I‘m studying, jumping and skiing. Sometimes... I like to make stuff, working with my hands and doing something for our home and yeah... that's quite everything.
Tell us something about yourself, please! What kind of person are you?
Mikke: Ehm... [thinks]... I don’t know. He can tell something more. [points to Jim] Jim: He is always late. Mikke: No I'm not! But, yeah... I don't know.
When and how did you start doing NC?
I was pretty young. My first jumping competition was when I was 4 years old and I also skied before that.
What are your goals for this winter in general?
I have to improve myself for jumping part because I think the last 4 years have been pretty difficult for me and I have done a lot of work for jumping. It's still a little bit difficult but I hope I can jump better and I hope for a lot of better results than now. We will see.
And WCS?
Of course I hope I will be there and hopefully I will do very well. Top 20, I think that's ok!"
How do you manage your studying and sport at the same time?
Sometimes its a little bit difficult but now we don’t have so much school so I have time for the sport.
So it's more university in the summer?
It's a bit in summer and spring. I can do some work while being here because I draw everyday. I can draw on the plane and I can do those things being here. And I think I have enough time. There are some things I can't do here, I have to been in school for that or I’m doing those things when I'm home.
What do you like to do in your free time? If you have any.
Hmm. [thinks] Actually there is not lot of free time so when I have it I like to take it easy and be with my friends and have fun. Sometimes I do my school things. They are also kind of my hobby and I like it to do those and train my skills.
