When did you start doing Nordic Combined and what was your motivation for it?
Hertta: I started when I was six years old. My parents took us to the nearby hill and I got hooked on ski jumping right away. A week after that was the first nordic combined competition and I did quite well in it.
Do you have a role model?
Hertta: My role models are the Norwegian and Japanese female ski jumpers and of course Julia Kykkänen.
Please tell something about yourself! What kind of person are you?
Hertta: I’m competitive, ambitious and impatient. I’m usually positive.
What are your hobbies that you like to do in your free time?
Hertta: My other important hobby is TeamGym and I was just chosen to the team taking part in European mastership competition in October. I also play violin.
What are your thoughts on the last winter? What do you think about the season, are you satisfied with your results?
Hertta: I’m not satisfied with my results. My jumping wasn’t that good. The skiing was better, though.
What was the best achievement of your career so far and what the biggest disappointment?
Hertta: The best achievements so far have been the medals in Finnish Championships in the last four years. The biggest disappointments were the competitions last winter.
What are your goals as a sportswoman in general and for the next season?
Hertta: The most important goal is to improve my jumping and after that I would like to do well in competitions and maybe represent Finland in international competitions one day.
