When did you start doing Nordic Combined and what was your motivation for it?
Perttu: I started skiing and ski jumping when l was three year old. My first Nordic Combined race was when l was six years old. That was the start of my Nordic Combined career. My dad took me to Nordic Combined and it felt exciting.
Do you have a role model?
Perttu: I have always fallowed Hannu Manninen's career and admired him as an athlete.
Please tell something about yourself! What kind of person are you?
Perttu: I am pretty calm, humble, hard working and competitive. When l do something l want to do it very well.
What are your hobbies that you like to do in your free time?
Perttu: I also like orienteering, swimming, fishing and in the autumn l hunt hares and birds.
What are your thoughts on the last winter? What do you think about the season, are you satisfied with your results?
Perttu: It was a small disappointment that l wasn't in junior world championships in Kadersteg. In Nordic Junior Championships l did good races and got two silver medals in Vuokatti. I was in good shape in nationals and won U16 and U18 races in spring. I also got much experience from Continental Cup.
Do you have any routines at the competitions?
Perttu: I don't have any special routines, but l like listen to music before race.
What was the best achievement of your career so far and what the biggest disappointment?
Perttu: I think my biggest achievement of my career are five victories in Youth Cup in Oberstdorf. I haven't had any big disappointments in my career yet.
What are your goals as a sportsman in general and for the next season?
Perttu: One day I want to be one of the best Nordic Combined athletes. For the next season my goal are good results in JWC 2019 Lahti. I also want to do good races in COC.
